Mountain Bike Trip to Sun Valley

Ok so we went on a mountain biking trip to Sun Valley with the Lybberts', Erskines', Andersons', Lobbs', Maxwells' and Rossows. We had such a great time. Bubba has definately fallen in Love with someone else "his Bike"! Na I am his one and only......anywho while I was laid up from a falling incident he was out having a blast. The weather could not have been better, and neither could the beautiful town. I guess I should mention my fall! Our very first ride up a traul called River Run. The trail switchbacks up the side of a hill to the top. So remember now it is steep. We had not even been riding for maybe 15 min. My right handlebar hits a tree and causes me to tuen left and I teedered on the edge for a second and down I went. Just right off the edge I fell off my bike and landed on my knees. As I did so 3 pieces of wood entered my knee. Iwas not painful at first, of course then I move and wow! I went strait to the ER, after having to walk about a half a mile down. So they fixed me all up and there I layed on the condo bed for the rest of the day, and the next. I slept well with all my anti pain drugs!! Every one was so helpfull! Lisa even cleaned up my puke! What a gal! Thanks Lisa! Margo took me to the craziest movie. I remember going to it, but when I awoke it was over. What kind of movie is that? We ate out which turned out to be my fun since everyone else was able to ride. We had a great time, and I cannot wait to go there again actually ride and survive it.

Back in Business

Badge waiting and waiting!
Miles is waiting! and waiting!

Cali had not even gotten int he river yet!Cousins playin in the dirt!
My man and I!

I guess this is the story of my Blogging life! Blog one week off for four! So many things to do so little time to Blog about it!
The Morris' have been having a load of fun. The boys have attended sports camps, which they fully believe they are in the pros now and they have been hanging out with friends. Mom on the other hand is doing the same thing I did before CLEANING! Summer with kids is the worst. I mean not with them but as far as my house goes.

So my sister Megan and her family came to visit and we had a great time. We shopped and ate and shopped and ate! Both of my two favorite things to do. The next day we took the kids down the Provo river on tubes. What an adventure! So we get there and our largest tube which is to hold most of the kids has a hole. So I find a patch GREAT! I am so thankful for people who are willing to help. We get on the river and every thing is great for about a half an hour, then I come around a bend and Badge os hanging on the side of a train bridge like Spiderman! The rapids are flying and I am freakin out. Apperently he and Bubbas tube tipped under the rapids and the current swept it away leaving them hangin! Some very helpfull guys climed down the bridge to help Badge, again with the nice helpful people, and Bubba was trying to go up stream to help Badge. All in All they were both safe. I wish I could say the same for Bubba's 3rd wedding band!, and his feet. Just a tip for those of you who ever plan on floating the river.... wear a pair of tennis shoes. Bub really jacked up his feet trying to save "Spidey"!

Bubba and Badge came floating down the river on tubes that someone had given them to use. They were not the best ("blue light special") but they worked. My poor boys.
Sorry about the mess up with pictures and their order. I have no clue what I am doing still.

Couples who run together...stay together! Ohhhh!

Our van 1 team!

I just cannot tell you how invigorating I feel after after doing this race. I guess I have to explain what I am talking about..this is a relay with 12 people. Each of us had our own 3 "legs" of the race. It started in Logan, Utah and ended 180 miles south in Park City, Utah. Our team had 24 hours to run it. The theme if it all is "Run, Drive, Sleep, Repeat"., and that is exactly what we did. What was the best part of it all is we have a support van right next to you the whole time. They are there to give you water, in our case oranges which I might add as JD says was GOLD!, and I agree, gum, honks of the horn and words and cheers of encouragement! Our team wins the "most supportive" award from me. We just could not have had better support, I say we because Bubba also did it with me I should add that. I have to say thanks to Margo for inviting us to be on their team. It was our first year and I appreciate them being patient with our turtle legs.
In our burb it was Margo, JD, Chris, Anne, myself and Bubba. We had a blast. I am so excited to do it again next year. I hope to better myself and train better. I wish we could do it again tomorrow.
Sorry to throw in a ton of pictures I love to share my excitement with you all and I am just jealous of myself!

Fathers day!

Today was a great day! We finally had Bubba home from his long tirp to Brazil. It was also great because I finally had, after 2 Sundays of being alone, Bubba with me at church. My four kids were so good for me at home but for some reason we get to church and they turn into the HULK children. However the best part of today was being able to celebrate Fathers Day! The kids were so excited to give Bubba the XM satalite radio we had bought for him!

So we have been out of touch with the BLOGGIN! Bubba took our camera on his trip with him so I was not able to keep up. I do not like to post without a picture, or at least I try to.

We ahve been having fun now that Summer has started, we go swimming quite a bit and the kids have a great time runnig around the neighnorhood with their friends until way past normal bedtime. BEDTIME??? My kids say, "but it is still light out"! What can I say to that? It is true. Right? I need my time, I say.

Well our kids are always keeping me on my toes..... last night we are out to dinner and we get a phone call from the boys that they had caught a snake and they have it in a bag IN THE HOUSE!!!! I imediately got the eeebbeegeebees and told them to take that thing outside!! When we got home the snanke was still in the bag in the house....they wanted to let it go out int he front yard. I suggested that we take it to the open field across the street, so that it did not want to stay in the vicinity of our home YUK! Can you imagine..I would have that snake in my garage. So we took it out to the field and let him out....he was not very happy, he imediately hissed and was ready to strike.

Pretty Cali

Ok so this girl thing is way too much. She is so cute in her ballerina outfit, which remeber she never takes off, but today she lept on asking me to paint her nails. Well I got sidetracked like I always do, and about 15 minutes later she came into my room with sparkles! I love her! At least I know she will be a go and do woman!

We did it!

Bubba and I at the top!
Bubba fixing a flat before we even started

Bubba, Margo and I

We also have a new addition to our family, her name is Juliana. She is beautiful. She never cries and rarely needs changing, unless Bubba has anything to do with it. I officially LOVE to mountain bike. I would by no means say I am good, however Bubba really impressed me. He did great on our first real ride! A few handle bar flips but he is recovering. Our friend Margo took us on a ride to a "trail"?? called the "Bobsled" Oh wow! Whenever Margo would mention this run I would think "OK maybe in a little while" it just sounded way too hard. 4 miles uphill then a roller coaster ride down?? Ahhhh! It was at times hard but the downhill "bobsled" what a thrill! Awesome!! It was like the Thunder Mountain ride at Disneyland except you are on a bike. That uphill ride was worth it on the way down. Way to much fun!! I cannot wait to go again!
Oh ya if there is anyone out there that knows of someone who wants to sell a bike, I need to find one for Bubba! Thanks!
