Soccer Has Sprung

Miles was so excited on Saturday, he had his first soccer game and they won 5 to 0. One of those goals was made by Miles himself. He loves to play sports and it is so fun to watch him. he thinks the best part of it all is that his all Bubba is one of his coaches and his best buddies Austin White, Troy Lybbert and Zack Kehoe are all on his team. He could not be happier. What a fun day it was, although winter has not left us yet. Sat. was a high if maybe 50 and the wind made it feel like 20 BUURRRR! We still had a great game. GO MILES! Again!

Mles Learns to ride a Bike

Mile is so excited to kick the training wheels. He has finally learned to ride a bike. Kind of funny it took me months to get the hang of it and miles well it took him 30 min. He can now keep up with the other kids and not get left behind. GO MILES!!

Badge Trey and Miles 1st Concert

So while in St George our boys had the opportunity to go to their first concert. I took them to see Drake Bell. Well for those of you who do not know who he is, he has a show on Nick with a kid named Josh (Drake and Josh). He has a pretty good voice, although the price of the ticket and the length of the show oh and lets add the "TWEENS" all around me really did not do it for me....although my kids had a great time with their cousins.

Spring Break in St George

Ohh it was a lovely time in the heat. We as a family took the time to get away from the Antarctic and bask in the rays of the sun. We spent some time visiting family that resides there. Bub's bother Joe and his wife Holly and their 3 or wow 4 now kids have a beautiful home there. Our kids love to spend time with their cousins. They wanted to be together every moment of the day, and yes that included sleep over requests every night. The kids had a great time swimming and swimming and swimming, of course since Trey and Cali inherited their mothers lovely pale pale skin they found themselves under the care of the Aloe vera bottle, poor kids. Badge and Miles just got their first tan for the season. As we were leaving the pool Trey asked me " Mom how do you get a tan"! I explained that it is just not going to happen for him, poor guy. We also had fun hanging out with the Lybberts and Erskines, well of course the wives and children. The husbands said they were too busy to come down, I am proud of those girls for doing a trip with 6 kids! Luckily there was the Wright's Huh! We stayed up in the Green Valley Resort area at this awesome condo called "Las Palmas", they were fully furnished and just felt like home away from home. Each kid had their own room, that was nice, with a TV, that was nice too. They are also time shares and we are seriously considering buying into one. It was so much fun.

We Are Back In Action

I am not sure why I have not blogged in so long. We have been so busy. there has been so much going on....and ok well I have found myself a new series of books. Of course I have to promote them. They are called "Uglies, it is the first, then 2nd is Pretties, 3rd in Specials and the last is Extras". They are written by Scott Westerfield. I found them through the wonderful world of Stephanie Meyer, as you all should know is the author of my all time favorite books! Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Ok so today was mIles 6th Birthday! Ya you might ask "so where is a picture"? Well I am a num nut and forgot to take my SD card out of our lap top before Bubba went out of town. I am so bummed I was only able to take a few pictures of him opening gifts this morning, which I might add the camera ran out of batteries so I had to run to the store. There was only a few pics left on the internal memory of my camera. I was so bummed. Anyways I have come up with an idea, and maybe I should not tell it but oh what the heck...I need to publish a book with all the crazy things moms and dads hear from their children. It would guaranteed be a best seller. Do you ever just wonder what your kids are thinking. So this idea came over the last few days and really came to life when Miles..well let me say a few before I finish! Miles has been asking about when his birthday is since they day after his b-day last year. It is always a ? and then turns into an argument about whose b-day is first. Miles wants to be big just like his brothers. I never thought I would worry about any of my boys being 5 going on 21. You always think of the girls acting that way.... any who, it was quite in the house this morning and I was doing Cali's hair and I can see Miles out of the corner of my eye reach for the TV remote. He grabs it plops himself on the couch and says " ok now...no more 5 year old shows, lets find 6 year old shows" I just giggled. He is so funny with the age thing.
Anyways I am so thankful to have my children they make me smile all day, ok maybe half the day, I am so blessed to have them.

Ok so I am starting a new trend! Aren't these just the most beautiful shoes you have ever seen. OUCH! I guess the are all the rage in Japan? OK whatever. I cannot even imagine wearing them for a second.

Black Z71 Suburban for FREE

For those that is the market for a new car I have the best deal ever...FREE! All you have to do is be on the lookout for the car. It is a black Z71 Chevrolet Suburban. If you find it... the way to acquire it is just open the door get comfy, you do not even need to turn the key it will already be running and ready for you to drive away home. If you are having difficulty finding it just follow a long brown haired girl. She should not be hard to find just look for her running!

Cali the housekeeper

So I was so excited three years ago to find out, against the will of Bubba, that we were having a girl. She was so cute and oh I just wanted to eat her all up. Then she turned 2 or no was it 18 months. Wow I thought that I had maybe taken home the wrong child home. This was not the girl that I thought she was going to be. She never allows me to do her hair or dress her. She wears a leotard every day instead of a cute something! I do love her to pieces. So anyway I am cleaning the bathrooms today. She always wants to help. I do not let for for obvious reasons. So I let her watch. Well I have to leave the bathroom for a moment to grab something. She comes running in the kitchen with the shirt she had been wearing dripping soaking wet and she is singing " Mom I cleaned the toilet" and she throws her shirt down on the floor and runs off. I could not yell at her because one it was so stinkin funny and two she thought she was helping me out. So if any of you are in the market for a housekeeper you can have Cali for free!

Twilight the Movie

Ok so I am so excited...my friend Jenn told me last night about some pictures that have surfaced from the making if the movie. I also had never seen who they had cast for the parts of all my favorite characters. So for those of you who are interested here is one of them.

I just imagine when I am reading this book that they are all real, actually they are...I may be crazy but somewhere in time they are real. So the movie comes out in Dec??? I am not sure actually? I made Bubba read the books so we were on he same page...he liked them and now we can see the movie together. Oh I bet he loves for me to tell everyone that.

The Life and Times of Bubba

Jazz needed to make a move
I am a fan of the Jazz but consider myself an outsider of "JAZZ NATION". In other words I don't pray at the alter of Jerry Sloan and I believe some of the moves the Jazz make are not perfect. The prevailing thought throughout "JAZZ NATION" is that we will win a championship by just not doing anything more than keeping the team together. They will say things like we got to the Western Conference Championship last year and so this year we should win the West or the Title. I think we have missed a huge opportunity to improve our team and are therefore out of the Title talk for another year. The Jazz need to improve their interior defense, neither Okur nor Boozer are even average defenders. Okur has shown that if he concentrates on defense only (see last years series with the Rockets) he can be decent but neither one will stop a guy driving to the basket, let alone block a shot.
The Jazz have the pieces to make a move, any combination of Okur, Kirelinko, Miles, Brewer, Almond, Millsap and draft picks are available to make us better. I think if you go back and look at both the trade for Garnet and Gasol, the teams got less talent than any two of those player from the list above, and if it was us that picked up either Gasol or Garnet they would be talking about us winning a title instead of the Celtics or Lakers.
To win a championship you need to improve more than just getting one year older, the Stockton, Malone era should have taught us that. I am not sure if the Jazz are more interested in being good for a long time (ie selling tickets for 10 years) or doing what it takes to win a championship.
